Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport based on ground fighting (ne-waza) and submission holds. It focuses on the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling one's opponent, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was developed around 1920 by Brazilian brothers Carlos, Oswaldo, Gastão Jr., George, and Hélio Gracie, after Carlos was taught traditional Kodokan judo by a travelling Japanese judoka, Mitsuyo Maeda, in 1917. Later they developed their own self-defense system named Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. BJJ eventually came to be its own defined combat sport through the innovations, practices, and adaptation of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and judo, becoming an essential martial art for MMA. Governing bodies such as the IBJJF work worldwide, and set the rules and standards to be held in BJJ competitions. BJJ revolves around the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend him/herself against a bigger, stronger, heavier opponent by using leverage and weight distribution, taking the fight to the ground and using a number of holds and submissions to defeat them. BJJ training can be used for sport grappling and self-defense situations.Sparring, commonly referred to as "rolling" within the BJJ community, and live drilling plays a major role in training and the practitioner's development. BJJ can also be used as a method of promoting physical fitness, building character, and as a way of life.

NOGI
Standing game, ground game, rules are the same like for Gi variations, but depends on your BJJ belt level rules can be different, depends on which federation you are competing, if you are. Different style of fighting, some different techniques, but BJJ technique can be adapted for NoGi variation as well, using more power and cardio, all of this is NoGi. So, have few ways learning, Gi and NoGi. NoGi is also well known because of MMA (UFC, BELLATOR), too many professional fighters of MMA should train ground game well. For now is a different time and not only sticking deciding how the fight will end, and if you not training NoGi technique, for sure you cant compete in MMA as well. So too many MMA fighters training very seriously about NoGi. Or some people just feeling themself more comfortable in NoGi variation, so they are prefer training only NoGi, they dont like be in a Gi. A new era for mixed martial arts fights is associated with the emergence of the UFC - the organization has managed to gradually turn fights from a show into a sport. The first championship was held in Denver in 1993. The initiative of the UFC was picked up by new promotions, mainly in the USA and Japan. Despite the differences in the rules of the competition, many fighters successfully performed in several organizations.
Spectacular fights that attracted the attention of leading television channels helped to popularize MMA quickly. Progress has also been made in unifying the rules for all promotions, especially in terms of prohibited techniques.

Self Defense
These words just talking about it by themselves. Its mean you should have enough skills to protect yourself, your girlfriend or wife, your family against hooligans or for example some of you, like a parents, have kids, and sometimes happen in a school or your living district, your kids always under bully attacks. Or also young girls, woman, sometimes they have problems with hooligans in a night time, night clubs, cafes or whatever. So all these people under hooligans or bully attacks and for sure, its mine opinion, you should know how to protect yourself and stay safety. So Self Defense courses its exactly about this. CROSSFIT
